Who and where is Las Fallas celebrated?
This holiday is celebrated mainly in Valencia, Spain, considering that is where it started and it has spread nationally and internationally. There are several other parades in Spain but there is just one original and that one attracts the most people. People have been researching at and visiting this incredible fiesta from all around the world.

Why do people celebrate this holiday?
This holiday is celebrated because back in the 1400s the carpenters and the artisans need extra light to work into the dark of the night. They would use oil lit lanterns and hang them from wooden poles called parrots. Then as a celebration of longer days and warmer weather they would burn them. This celebration is dedicated to Saint Joseph, a excellent carpenter.
